MARRIED WOMAN ACCUSED OF POURING HOT WATER ON HER HUSBAND

 The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a woman identified as Dorcas Oluwabukola, accused of pouring hot water on her husband in the Meiran area of the state, citing suspicion of infidelity as the motive.

According to a police source from the Meiran division, the suspect, Dorcas Oluwabukola, will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department once the ongoing investigation is concluded.


The incident reportedly occurred after the wife became upset when her husband attended a childhood friend's wedding without her, leading to a heated argument between them. Subsequently, she allegedly poured hot water on him.


Assuring the public of a thorough investigation, the police source mentioned that the division is closely monitoring the husband's progress, as he has been hospitalized since the incident.


Confirming the occurrence, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the incident took place on December 18, 2023. Hundeyin revealed that the couple had initially planned to attend the wedding together, but the husband's decision to go alone triggered the altercation, resulting in the woman boiling water and pouring it on her husband.


Hundeyin further disclosed that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment, and the police command has initiated an investigation into the incident.
